How it works

From first contact to signed agreement.

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Tell us the shape of the work and who you are. One email is enough to start.

  2. 02

    Scoping conversation

We match you to the right centre, theme or office and talk through what is possible.

  3. 03

    Agreement

We put the terms in writing — scope, data, IP, governance and ethics where relevant.

  4. 04

    Begin the work

You get a named point of contact in the faculty for the life of the partnership.

Who you will work with

Partnerships run on people, not portals.

Every partnership at the Karoo Faculty has a named lead inside the institution. Our partnerships office is small on purpose: we would rather you knew exactly who to call than navigate a switchboard. The team coordinates research contracts, industry agreements, philanthropic giving and the supporter programme.

We work with funders from Wellcome to the Mastercard Foundation, industry partners in diagnostics and devices, and individual donors who fund scholarships, equipment and named research posts. The common thread is simple: the work has to matter for the people of the Karoo.

Give to the faculty

Support a scholarship, a post, or a piece of equipment.

Philanthropic giving funds the parts of the faculty the state cannot reach — rural scholarships, research posts and specialist equipment for Tswelopele.
